Indoor Composting – With Worms!

WHEN: Wednesday, November 9, 4:00 – 5:00 PM

WHERE: The Eucalyptus Grove (see map below!)

Join us for an evening learning all about how you can compost at home, indoors! Worms are a great way to compost in small spaces, and are especially convenient for apartment dwellers, like many residents here in Isla Vista.

We’ll look at how DPW uses worms to process pre-consumer food waste from UCSB dining commons and build small-scale, single-chamber worm bins to demonstrate how easy and affordable vermicomposting can be! We’ll also teach attendees how to use worm castings to grow herbs and other small plants in their kitchens.

Come by, learn to love the worms, and give compost a chance!
