We contribute to Dining’s compost program by taking a portion of pre-consumer plant-based food scraps from Carrillo, De La Guerra, and Ortega Dining Commons.
DPW was once a small group within AS Recycling – that is until we got our very own lock-in fee in 2014!
Worm Wranglers are the core team caring for the citrus trees in Storke Plaza, the vertical gardens behind the Recreation Center, and will be tending the campus farm.
DPW manages on-site composting at UCSB in order to continue to remove fossil fuels from the compost process and divert organic waste from the landfill.
